August 15th marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Daisaku Yoshimura (45), a man who pours his strong desire to make people in Osaka understand the horrors of the atomic bomb into his picture-story shows, is one such individual. With the hope that “people all over the world will also learn about it,” he continues his activities in conjunction with the opening of the World Expo, and on August 12th, he was scheduled to perform at the Expo’s United Nations Pavilion. We interviewed Mr. Yoshimura about his motivations and the origins of his activities.
