　大阪市在住の吉村大作さん（45）が核兵器廃絶を願い、折り鶴の再生紙を使ったしおりを製作した。広島で被爆した小倉桂子さん（88）をモデルにしたオリジナルの紙芝居を通じて核兵器の恐ろしさを伝えており、しおりには、紙芝居を100言語以上でダウンロードできる2次元コードを載せた。

　吉村大作は2022年、広島市で小倉さんの証言を聞き、被爆者が高齢で語ることが難しくなっている現状などを知った。23年にウクライナから日本へ避難した芸術家の女性に絵を描いてもらい、紙芝居を製作。大阪・関西万博の期間中は、大阪市内の路上で外国人観光客らに向かって読み聞かせてきた。

　もっと紙芝居のことを知ってもらおうと、しおりの販売を思いつき、広島市出身の芸術家やまさきえりなさん（40）にデザインを依頼。吉村さんは「紙芝居が広まり、80年前の出来事が世界の常識になってほしい」と話す。

Daisaku Yoshimura (45), a resident of Osaka City, has produced a bookmark made from recycled paper created from origami cranes, with the wish of abolishing nuclear weapons. Through an original kamishibai (paper-theater) work modeled on Keiko Ogura (88), an atomic bomb survivor from Hiroshima, Yoshimura conveys the horror of nuclear weapons. The bookmark features a QR code that allows the kamishibai to be downloaded in more than 100 languages.

In 2022, Yoshimura listened to Ogura’s testimony in Hiroshima City and learned about the reality that many atomic bomb survivors are now advanced in age and finding it increasingly difficult to share their stories. In 2023, he asked a female artist who had fled Ukraine for Japan to create the illustrations and produced the kamishibai. During the Osaka–Kansai Expo period, he has been reading it aloud to foreign tourists and others on the streets of Osaka.

Hoping to raise greater awareness of the kamishibai, Yoshimura came up with the idea of selling bookmarks and commissioned the design from Erina Yamasaki (40), an artist from Hiroshima City. “I hope the kamishibai will spread and that events from 80 years ago will become common knowledge around the world,” Yoshimura said.

The bookmark is priced at 300 yen per piece (tax not included). Orders are accepted by email (8689sales@gmail.com), among other methods.
